OUR GOAL

Our primary goal is to help Japanese students learn the art of speaking conversational English by chatting with English speaking teachers. In most cases the English teachers will be students like themselves, with similar interests and skill levels, so learning will be natural and enjoyable. We believe that both students and teachers will benefit from this revolutionary new program. As the student learns to speak English comfortably, the teacher and student will be able to learn about each other's culture, and exchange ideas. Gradually they will begin to build a mutual understanding with each other. As this understanding grows, bit by bit, and person by person, it will soon become possible for mutual understandings between many people, in many different nations, to grow. If there is understanding between nations, there will be peace in the world. At ICO our dream for the future is to work toward a peaceful world, with one language, where all people will be able to have a better understanding of each other. Through our Chat-Chan program we hope to play a significant part in helping this dream become a reality.
