In 1962, ICO was formed as an international association of commercial art agencies in 72 cities and 52 countries around the world.
It was established to promote international business exchange between brilliant creators for the benefit of the creative industry, which was then isolated.

The business exchanges via ICO's structure have amounted to several million worldwide.

For the past 40 years, the ICO has promoted international commerce, building not only business but also friendship and mutual support among its members in many countries. 
 
However, the ICO's international activities came to an end in 2001 as technology developed, and then free and rapid business exchange among countries began, which were coupled with the retirement of many ICO owners at an advanced age.

However, the warm relationship between the ICO bureaus is still maintained through the strong bonds that have been established over the years.
