Neil Boyle / USA Neil Boyle, a talented and versatile oil painter originally from Fort Macleod, Alberta, Canada, first studied at Banff School of Fine Arts and continued his studies at Chouinard and the Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles. Before turning to fine art he was a successful commercial illustrator, having done work for many major publications and corporations such as The Ford Motor Company, Reader's Digest and Cosmopolitan. He won numerous awards, including a Life Achievement Award from the Society of Illustrators in New York. His works have been chosen for a U.S. Postal Service Bicentennial stamp series, and are displayed in the Smithsonian and the Pentagon. His career as a fine artist has been equally successful. Last year he acquired an award of Excellence from the Oil Painters of America; the coveted Alan Wylie award , and third place in Figurative painting in the California Art Club's Gold Medal Show.
