Robert Tanenbaum / U.S.A.

Robert Tanenbaum is a New York artist who has the distinction of being one of only twenty-two portrait artists certified nationally by the American Portrait society. He is renowned for his ability to capture exact likeness. His satisfaction in completing a portrait comes from knowing that not only will the subject be pleased with the quality and likeness, but in years to come that likeness will be even more meaningful. Tanenbaum has been commissioned to paint a myriad of famous faces including Howard Hughes, Stella Stevens, Historians Ariel & Will Durant, Karen Carpenter, Tom Selleck and George F. Getty 2nd. Other commissions have been 'the beautiful Levi girls', 23 in all, and 19 protraits for the book jacket of Michener's "Centennial". Because the subjects time is often limited, Tanenbaum primarily works from photographic reference. Besides the honor of being certified, he was elected to the prestigious National Watercolour Society.
